Jumping Hurdles!
Everyday Realtors jump hurdles for their clients. We do more than buy Lunches, play chauffeur and give city tours.
I have sat with a client through surgery, packed kitchen cabinets, bought refrigerators, changed diapers and wadded through muddy streams; but this week I have done one of the strangest things, ever.
My clients are buying a house that has several visable yards from one of the bedrooms, not unusual in a city; except when the view begins to be a deal breaker.
After the third conversation looking out of the window, my client admits that she will put her desk at the window and just can't bear seeing the neighbors' dogs without a dog house. You guessed it- Realtor to the rescue. I called the neighbor and explained that his new neighbor has been very involved in the SPCA and Humane Society and that I thought a dog house would help her be happy about choosing to buy the house. The neighbor was thrilled to be getting a doghouse because he could not figure out why his dogs were not using their dog door. A win-win for everyone, What odd things have you had to do to?
What hurdles have you had to jump for your clients?

Jane - You sure know how to go the extra mile. Have a good weekend.
Jennifer, thanks! I am not sure if it is the extra mile or staying out of the dog house, thanks!
I will never forget packing up that kitchen. She sure did have A LOT of crystal and china. I mean - who has parfait glasses for 32? ! :)
I hope that no other client of ours ever will, again!
hahah - me too Jane Page :)
All that was missing was a months supply of Purina Dog Chow, Jane. Bravo, good work. Hope your having a fine weekend.
Thanks David, Have you ever had to do something out of the ordinary like this? Thanks for the dog chow idea.
Hey Jane --what a cute story! I've helped them pack and load their cars - the day of possession! All part of the challenges - and fun!
Once I showed one of my listings, a vacant home in the winter When I arrived the propane heat had run out. I had to sit for 3 hours waiting for the gas man to come, The owners lived out of state. They were very grateful - I got a good testimonial out of it Karen goes above & beyond !
Alexsandra, Keep up the good work! And it is really fun!
3 hours in the cold, I am sooo glad we do not have cold, cold down here in Aiken! Keep going above & beyond!
I haven't had to do anything out of the ordinary yet Jane Page but I will keep you posted. Congrats on the mega sale - I saw it posted in MLS the other day.
Thanks Gene, I am in the middle of counters on another, can you believe that the buyer's agent called my client dirctly to present the offer- Long Weekend ahead!
This is pretty good, I've maintained a pool, fed pets, put up shutters on a house, etc... etc... Whatever it takes. (I don't do windows.)
Charlie, I have done windows! Thanks for stopping by!
