Did you hear the Good News?
"The dollar rises against the Pound and the Euro in Tuesday late trading", According to the Associated Press- New York, NY.
~ The dollar is getting stronger
~ First time Home Buyers can take advantage of a $7500 incentive
~ Record number of units for sale means a great selection for Buyers
~ Condo markets are holding according to National Assoc. of Realtors
~ Loan Products are out there, for qualified buyers, with flexible terms
~ Now is time to establish relationships with local providers: bankers, investment counselors & Realtors
~ Real Estate is Local and so is Banking, Build our economy back by investing locally
Remaining calm, positive and proactive in the wake of the current market conditions will do more than loosing faith in America by perpetuating what the negative media spin. When confronted with the question: "Is the Real Estate Market as bad as they make it out to be?" Say "NO!" and repeat any one of the points of Good News listed above. The Positive change our Economy needs- is You!

Today, with the rate cut and a hit at another short term drop on the way, it is a good time to lock a rate. Keep up with positive attitude, or you loose ground.
You are right about looking for the positive things in the economy.
Judy, If everyone in the real estate industry found one positive thing to say to others about the market, we could infuse some hope into consumers and start rebuilding confidence in buying and eventually lead this International crisis out of the tailspin.
Jane, that first time home buyer incentive is almost too good to be true. Buyers can even get a check back from the government if their tax situation warrants. Very good points.
Charlie, thanks for your story about the buyer you had, I have repeated the news to several others to get the word out there that this is a good thing and needs to be used! Thanks for your input, as always!
Amen sister -Preach It! Great Post -Keep that positive outlook coming!
Hey Jane Page! I love good news :) You should join this group with me: The Optimist
Oh - by the way, did u get a chance to pick up the lockbox at Glenwood - or should I go tomorrow during lunch?
Brian, Charlie Harden in Columbia posted a great story about his clients, it was great news, if we all start siging the positive we will get it! Thanks!
Kara, Nag, nag, nag-but thank God I have you to nag me! and yes! Thanks for the comment.
Jane,
As usual you are right on
Hey Richard, Thanks for the compliment and for reading! Have a good weekend! I am a bit late with my positive post for today, but I'll get it done soon!
Jane Page selling Aiken: Positive! Stay Positive! Being Positive. I tell people it could be worse, you could be paying 19% interest (like before). You make do with your surroundings, do your homework and turn off the news. I present the facts of what the local area market is doing as well as the immediate neighborhood. It doesn't always work but I have none my homework and I am able to ask questions when challenged. Best of luck in the Carolinas turning the buyers positive!
Michelle, it is a great market for buyers that want selection and will be realistic. I had an agent bring me an offer 73% LESS than the asking price and said that their offer reflected the current market. I choked and we countered only to hear that the buyer was "angry" and was going to pursue other options. It maybe a buyers market, but agents need to do a little better job in the educating department. Maybe some Boot Camp at Ft. Rucker?
Michelle,
Certainly your picture presents a silver lining, which is nice!
I hope to see more positive lines in the future!
Sean
Sean, Thanks for seeing the silver lining!
