Vote, Vote Vote! November 4th!

Flag                              VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!

I know we are all tired of the Political Grandstanding and the Campaign Ads.  We have been exposed to the rhetoric for way too long and this election year has made the case for time limits on Campaigns, but we ALL need to VOTE!

Today, a lady at the grocery store told her friend or daughter, shopping mate; that she was so sick of all of the hype that she was not going to VOTE.  Her friend expressed apathy and said she agreed and that her vote would not matter anyway.

I was at boiling point hearing these women speaking so casually about their VOTE.  Have they forgotten the lives sacrificed for us to have a free VOTE and the women that foughtfor us to have an equal VOTE?  Regardless of How you Vote, Please VOTE!  Put it in your schedule to do and go VOTE November 4th!

                   God Bless America!

Jane,

I can't imaging not voting!  Thanks for your post.

Jane Page:  I am totally burned out on the seemingly endless campaign but there is no way that I will not stand in line and vote tomorrow.

I have an old "colorized" photo hanging in my home office.  It is of my father as a young boy along with his mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Two of the women in this photo never had the privilege of voting.  My own grandmother didn't have that right when she turned 21.

Sometimes it seems that we've forgotten how far we've come or the cost to get where we are today.  Thanks for the great post.

Jane, I too am tired of this election going on and on and on. But, I voted early so that if my schedule got crazy tomorrow I wouldn't have an excuse to not VOTE!!!!

Maxine, Thanks for sharing, can you imagine having been a woman in 1900, knowing that two entire wars had been fought to give all men the right to vote, but women were still considered chattel?

Jane, we all need to vote and to become more informed voters.  I saw a political ad on a candidate for the senate saying so casually, "We all know Washington is broken."  I was like you in the grocery store; I wanted to yell at the TV, "Then why don't you fix it???"  I'm voting, and hoping that we all become better informed in future elections so we can put people in office who will do the right things instead of sitting on their big pork filled butts and then coming out to campaign (i.e. say all the right things) when their lifetime cushy job hangs in the balance.

I haven't missed a vote since I turned 18, and tomorrow will be no different!    I do hate the mudslinging...but it seems to be a part of politics, ugh - and the closer it gets to the election the dirtier it gets.     Have a good night Jane Page :)     hey - can I use your hot tub tomorrow night?

Charlie you are sooo right the pork bellies in DC get drunk with power and forget why they are there, oh yeah, they were never going there to represent the greater good only their own good.

Kara, we will be on our way to Orlando, go on.  Thanks for voting!

Thanks Jane Page!  Safe trip to Orlando - and have a good time.   There was quite the crowd at St Marys this morning - took me about an hour before it was my turn to vote.

I went home to Virginia to vote Jane Page.   I hear you are at the NAR Conference -  have a good time and safe trip back.

Gene, thanks for voting and no matter what people say, who takes credit, I know Virginia did it again.  The first African American Governor and now the First AA President.  Since it was the first real state, it was only fitting.  Have you seen old DW, so proud?
